ShiftBlast Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how ShiftBlast ("we", "the app") handles information when you use the ShiftBlast iOS application.
Information we collect
- Game data stored on device. Game state, best score, leaderboard entries, sound preference and other settings are stored locally on your device using app storage and
UserDefaults. We do not have access to this data.
- Game Center data. If you sign in to Game Center, Apple processes your display name, leaderboard scores, ranks and friend leaderboard information. ShiftBlast uses this only to submit scores and show leaderboards in the app.
- Subscription status. When you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple. We receive only the information needed to verify your entitlement (transaction ID, product ID, purchase date) via Apple's StoreKit framework.
- Advertising identifiers. If you grant tracking permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to deliver personalized ads. If you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown.
- AI relay signal. If you enable the optional premium AI agent connection, ShiftBlast and the macOS relay use your iCloud container to write a small sentinel file that tells the game when an agent response has finished. We do not operate a server for this feature.
- Diagnostic data. Standard crash and performance data may be collected by Apple if you have enabled sharing in iOS Settings.
Third-party services
The app integrates the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK to display banner advertisements to non-premium users. AdMob's data practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy and support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.
Tracking
The app requests App Tracking Transparency authorization before allowing AdMob to use the IDFA. You can change your decision at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, photos, or precise device identifiers on our own servers. ShiftBlast has no backend that stores user data.
Children
The app is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The ATT prompt is only shown on iOS where the OS allows it.
Your choices
- Decline tracking via the ATT prompt or change it in iOS Settings.
- Use the in-app privacy choices control when available to update ad consent choices.
- Turn Friend Alerts on or off in Settings. ShiftBlast asks for notification permission only when you enable this alert feature.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Delete the app to remove all locally stored game data.
